In the previous discussion we discussed the things you have to bring to work, from the things that you need to the unnecessary things. Now, we’re going to talk about the opposite of it, the things that you should definitely not bring to work. Before we dig in a little bit more, what things that you consider not important?
Sometimes, we often put ourselves to bring stuff and things that are not even related to our work. While your bag can fit through many things, do you really want to put things that are not going to be even used at the office? In that case, here are some things that you should not bring to work!
1. Alcohol
Being sober is very important, even if you need to loosen up a bit every now and then. But be clear that you can’t bring alcohol to the office, even if you can control yourself for the time being. Because if you were drunk at the office, just imagine what it would look like? Disaster for sure.
2. Video Games
Playing video games is fun, it’s probably one of the things that you could do when you’re bored and occupying the free time that you have. But if you brought it to the office, it might cause some good distractions and you’ll probably having a hard time getting the job done.
3. Magazines
Some magazines would be nice for some reading at the break time. In fact, if it would help you get through some work, why not? But you have to be careful on what type of magazines that you bring. It might triggered some people if you accidentally or purposely bring the wrong type of magazines.
4. Junk Food
Bringing some lunch from home or takeaway would be nice for a change, so that you don’t have to go out and just eat what you bring. Just try bringing some healthy food so that it won’t affect your mood or your health forward. Foods like junk food is the type that you have to stay away from.
5. Drugs
Now this thing is definitely off limits. Considering in our country it is very illegal pretty much everywhere, you can’t even be using one at all. But some countries have already legalized drugs and just be careful not to use it at work. Because if you do, you might lose your job.
6. Virus/Sickness
Before going to work, check yourself. Are you sick? Do you really need to go to work even if you’re just having a mild cough or fever, etc? Make sure that you don’t bring some virus or sickness. You’ll probably be the one who’s responsible if the whole office has gotten sick.
7. Bad Attitude
Lastly, a bad attitude will not be tolerated during office hours. Even if you are having a hard day or anything, just try to smile and be professional. You don’t want the environment in your office to be as bad as what you’re going through right?
